Rebecca Howarth Clinical Lead Speech/Language Therapist
Rebecca qualified as a Speech/Language Therapist in 1993 and has worked at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital since 1994.
Rebecca has a special interest is Acute Paediatric Dysphagia and in particular critical care and tracheostomy patients.
Rebecca has been an Advanced SLT in Videofluroscopy since 1999 and currently jointly leads the videofluroscopy service at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
We currently perform around 18-25 videofluoroscopy procedures each month at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with patients from acute wards, regional out patients and a level 3 neonatal unit.
Rebecca contributes to International and national studies in the area of Metabolic Diseases and specifically the effect of Enzyme Replacement Treatments.
