Conor Mallucci

Conor is committed to the development of his field and in improving outcomes in children with brain tumours and hydrocephalus. He continues his role as chairman of the British Paediatric Neurosurgery Research Group.

Having published extensively in the literature on brain tumours, hydrocephalus and neuroendoscopy and technical advances in neurosurgery in general, he has over 115 publications in international peer reviewed journals and has recently edited and published an International collaborative textbook on CSF disorders which was highly commended at the 2010 BMA book awards.

Conor is currently deputy editor of the British Journal of Neurosurgery and the Associate editor of the European journal Child’s Nervous System.

Having qualified in London at University College in 1989 he went on to train in neurosurgery in Birmingham, Nottingham and then Paris.

Committed to Education, Conor is an active member of the International and European Societies of Paediatric Neurosurgeons and sits on their education committee and teaches on the International paediatric neurosurgery courses organized by these organisations around the world. Conor has lectured internationally on his subject including guest lectures at the World Congress on Hydrocephalus and International Society of paediatric Neurosurgeons. Conor is a medical advisor to the charitable Association of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (ASBAH).

Conor sits on the NIHR paediatric neuro-oncology research group and is the surgical lead for ependymoma studies and craniopharyngioma.

Conor has just published an extensive international textbook on CSF disorders.
